At AYOC we believe that one should be the master of their own destiny. That is to hold, be the sole signatory for, sign and control your own assets and absolutely NOT allowing others to act on your behalf in any capacity.

This advice certainly doesn't sound like the advice coming from an offshore provider. However I would be remiss if I were to advise otherwise.

There is no shortage of crooks in the world. We have had, many years ago, the unfortunate experience of having acquired a incorporation from one of the, if not THE biggest offshore company providers. No need to mention names, but they advertise each and every day in ALL of the major newspapers, magazines, etc. At the time we were [and still are] small potatoes. This company has to pay for this incredible amount of advertising and they do so by screwing you and I, i.e. overcharging billing items that YOU never asked for, etc.

In several instances over the years, either another Trust Company outright STOLE the money from our clients [and ourselves], or, they simply went bust, whereas all the clients lost 99.999% of their capital. For example, Robert Maxwell, Barrings Bank of Nick Leeson infamy, and many, many other large and small time trust companies and offshore operators.

Therefore we no longer recommend ANY trust companies. The sole exception is a AAA rated private bank in Switzerland. Even if you had a suitcase full of cash, you couldn't walk into this bank an open an account. YOU Must have a referral from a long time, well known source that the AAA bank trusts.
